Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy Gear, and the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition in India back in mid-September, and while the phablet and smartwatch have been available in the country for some time, now folks can also grab the company's latest 10.1-inch tablet. It is priced at Rs. 49,990 (~$810), which is pretty much the same price the Galaxy Note 3 was launched for, which isn't surprising considering the similar specs of the two, apart from the difference in screen sizes.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 boasts the most pixel-dense display Samsung has put on a tablet after the Nexus 10, with a 10.1-inch Super Clear LCD screen of 2560×1600 resolution. It is powered by a 1.9GHz octa-core Exynos 5 processor along with 3GB of RAM, and also includes an 8-megapixel rear camera, 16GB internal storage and a microSD slot, an 8,220mAh battery, and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. It will offer the same improved S Pen as the Note 3. The model launched in India is the 3G-enabled version, which is great since Wi-Fi hotspots are rather few and far between in the country.
