Following a launch in the U.S. two weeks ago, the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition looks all set for a release in the UK, as Samsung's latest tablet is now showing up at retailers in the country. According to Android Central, the 16GB Wi-Fi variant of the tablet will cost £499.99 and will be available for purchase starting this week. Oddly, the processor is listed as quad-core, but that is either a typo or the retailer is calling it quad-core because only four cores are operational at any one time on Samsung's octa-core processors (or Samsung is using a Snapdragon 800 in some markets).

The Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition features a 10.1-inch Super LCD display of WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution, 3GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera capable of 1080p video recording, a microSD slot for memory expansion, and 8220 mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, and comes with the same S Pen as the Note 3, including Samsung's new Air Command feature. We're working on a review of the device, which should be up just in time for the tablet's launch in the UK and possibly other markets.
