Australian carrier Optus has added a new mid-range Samsung smartphone to its lineup, the Galaxy Ace 3, which was launched internationally earlier this year. Outright, the phone is priced at $288, but for those going for a contract, the monthly cost will be $37 in addition to the handset repayment cost (which remains unknown as of now).

The Galaxy Ace 3 will support Optus 4G network, and sports a 4-inch WVGA (800×480) display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-megapixel rear camera with 720p video recording, 8GB storage expandable via microSD slot, an 1,800mAh battery, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean underneath Samsung's TouchWiz UX.
