AT&T recently released the year old Galaxy S3 mini, and now Verizon seems to be following in AT&T's footsteps by launching a similarly yesteryear smartphone. According to prolific leaker Evleaks, Verizon will be launching the Samsung Galaxy Stellar under the Galaxy Legend moniker on the Verizon Prepaid scheme, though without any sort of LTE connectivity.

The specs should remain the same as the Galaxy Stellar, including a 1.2GHz dual-core MSM8960 Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 4-inch WVGA (480×800) display, 4GB on-board storage and a microSD slot, 3.15-megapixel camera, and a 2,100mAh battery. The Galaxy Stellar came with Android 4.0, but it's possible it will run at least Android 4.1 when it launches as the Galaxy Legend.

Pricing and exact availability details are unknown, but expect those to make an appearance in the coming weeks.
